Upstairs, the commercial showroom has been kitted out with Coastal Cupboards’ complete range to showcase the products to customers in the best light. It was a complex project and flexibility, practicality and style all had to be considered. Hunter Collins included hanging track lighting to enable to Coastal Cupboards team to illuminate any part of the showroom.
The Coastal Cupboards workshop and showroom project was quite possibly our favourite one from last year. And it’s easy to see why: the end result is so good! The Coastal Cupboards team contacted Hunter Collins with an idea to create a workshop and showroom in Sturminster Marshall. Starting with just a bare industrial unit, the space has now been transformed with a complete electrical installation, Fire Alarm system, Emergency Lighting, Intruder Alarm system and CCTV.
Downstairs, the industrial workshop has been completely installed in conduit to allow for easy additions or replacements if machinery is moved or purchased. It’s a practical solution that also provides a smart finish.

Once the kiln area was up to spec, the team then went on to install further conduit to the craft area. As a Grade 2 listed building, we had to work to the supplied specification to remain fully compliant.

The Courtyard Craft Centre, in Lytchett Minster near Poole, instructed Hunter Collins to carry out a complete electrical installation, Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting installations in this commercial and industrial property as part of wider renovations to buildings on site. It was a really enjoyable project, very involved and diverse. The Hunter Collins team installed a lot of metal trunking and conduit work in the kiln room at the TradPots pottery studio. Kiln temperatures regularly reach in excess of 1200°c, so without this metal trunking it would naturally warm or melt any plastic installed near them over time.

Hunter Collins regularly installs Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points in homes and blocks of flats. For this project we installed a number of electrical points and EV charging points in an underground car park in Sandbanks, preparing the residents for the future of Electric Vehicles. Each flat has their own point with their own pre-pay meter, so each resident only pays for their consumption.
